What do our Summer camps
Look like?

At Zenit Education, we combine an interactive language-learning curriculum with sports and adventure activities of all sorts in a breathtaking natural environment. The car-free pedestrian town of Saas-Fee, nestled in the heart of the Swiss Alps, is the perfect location for our young participants to have the camp experience of their lives!

Campers have the option to stay at our hotel under 24/7 supervision or arrange their own accommodation with their families.

Zenit Education Mountain Adventure Camps aim to enhance students’ language abilities through a diverse array of activities including rock climbing, via ferratas, rollerblading, yoga, cooking classes, theater, mountain survival techniques, and various outdoor sports.

International Summer

We are offering kids from 5 to 15 years old an exciting opportunity to experience a range of invigorating summer activities, get involved in exploring the alpine environment whilst developing key skills along the way on and off the mountain – including outdoor interactive language learning fun in English!

Each day, we will endeavour to ensure that the children make the most of the mountain environment and more importantly, just have FUN!!

With a maximum ratio of 8 campers per camp leader, our week-long camps or day drop-in are entirely in English, to cater for those that come from English speaking countries and also give a golden opportunity to those kids from other countries around the world, who are keen to improve their English language learning fun & outdoor mountain skills!

For the 5-7 year group half day options are available running from 09.30-12.30 (excluding lunch).

Our language classes are engaging and interactive. Children at the camp will acquire knowledge through play. The tailored language lessons will be applied in various activities such as movies, theater performances, and more. In the afternoons, various sports activities are organized with children from diverse backgrounds. All interactions and activities are conducted in English, fostering a strong reinforcement of the language skills introduced during the morning sessions.

Our camps are located in an adventure lover’s paradise. The Saas-Fee valley offers an ideal setting for campers to acquire survival skills, engage in rock climbing, zip lining, and various multi-sport activities. Nestled in the stunning Swiss Alps, this unique location will immerse our campers in a pristine natural environment, surrounded by some of the highest mountains in the Alps. It serves as the perfect retreat from the fast-paced daily life, allowing campers to reconnect with nature and their surroundings.

Saas-Fee stands out as a car-free town, offering our campers a distinctive opportunity to experience freedom in a secure environment. Here, campers can freely explore local shops and stroll around town during their leisure time, all while being supervised yet enjoying an independent lifestyle. Moreover, Saas-Fee boasts pleasant summer temperatures. The evenings are comfortably cool for sleeping, while the daytime temperatures are warm enough for campers to wear shorts and partake in water activities.

FAQ about summer camps in Saas-Fee

During summer, Saas-Fee experiences pleasant, sunny weather with daytime temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F). Mornings and evenings can be cooler, so bring layers. Expect occasional rain showers, so pack waterproof clothing as well, but generally this part of the Alps has a rather sunny microclimate and so great, reliable conditions for these camps.

The educational element of the camp focuses on discovery and adventure, blending the excitement of learning new sports and a mix of other activities, such as outdoor mountain survival skills, as well as the benefit of hands-on interactive English language learning. While English enhancement is part of the experience, our primary focus is on overall learning and personal growth. Ideal for both English speakers and learners a-like, these camps are the perfect setting for kids to explore, learn, and grow in an engaging and dynamic environment, and make new friends and unforgettable memories in the outdoors.

For summer camps in Saas-Fee, pack layered clothing, a waterproof jacket, comfortable pants/joggers and shorts, sports trainers and hiking boots, swimwear and essential accessories like a hat and cap, sunglasses and sunscreen (with strong SPF protection). A rucksack/backpack is strongly recommended as well.

We are pleased to provide daily drop-in rates that cater to individuals of all age groups. For our younger participants, we have structured our schedule so that they can only attend in the mornings. This arrangement ensures that each age group receives the attention and care they need while allowing for a smooth experience throughout the day.

The official camp language is English, ensuring easy and relaxed communication among campers. However, our camp leaders are multilingual, which allows them to assist and support campers who may be more comfortable in their native language including French, Spanish and German, enhancing the overall camp experience.

The general timetable consists of full days of activities. Breakfast will be from 08.00 onwards each day and activities will begin at 09.30 and finish at 18.00. And then we will have fun evening games/activities after dinner from 19.30 – 20.30. (N.B. No camp on Saturday afternoons, evenings and through until Sunday at 16.00). Campers will be engaged in various indoor and outdoor activities, fun interactive language lessons, and group events throughout the day, ensuring a fun, enriching, and memorable experience.

The camp is designed for children aged 5-15, but we can make exceptions on a case-by-case basis if necessary. We strive to accommodate each child’s needs and ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for all participants..

Yes, rest assured that the children are well taken care of throughout the day, from morning until night. Our dedicated staff ensures that the kids are entertained, engaged in activities, and supervised at all times to provide a safe and enjoyable experience.

Most kids attending the camps come from diverse international backgrounds. This mix of cultures and languages creates a unique environment for learning, encouraging cultural exchange, and making lifelong friendships with campers from around the world.

The accommodation provided is in a 3-star hotel, with shared rooms arranged by age and sex. This ensures a comfortable and safe environment for campers while promoting camaraderie and fostering connections among children of similar age groups.
